ProBono.Org is a non profit organisation. It provides the following services:

• Consultations with individuals or groups who cannot afford commercial legal fees and who have matters which
  are in the public interest
• Referrals of public interest matters with good merits to law firms in line with their expertise and/or interest
• Referrals to relevant institutions should the matters not be suitable for legal resolution
• Maintains working relationship with the Johannesburg Bar Council
• Maintains working relationships with a range of NGO's active in different areas of public interest work
• Arranges training / workshops / seminars on relevant public interest topics for either NGO's or law firms
• Publicises positive impact of pro bono legal assistance
• Tracks developments in public interest jurisprudence
• Alerts NGO's and law firms of developments in public interest jurisprudence
• Facilitates collaborations with public interest law research facilities
• Facilitates collaborations between law firms and public law organisations and / or NGO's
• Accesses support from foreign and international pro bono entities
